The great scenes in the play are those in which Macbeth determines his actions and when he decides to go about it the right way. Those dramatic scenes lend the play a sense of truth and reality that it probably would not have had without them.One of the most interesting Macbeth essay topics is the one in which the character Macbeth is crowned as king. In Shakespeare's time, this was an event that was not just a mere formality but rather something that would mark a special occasion. Macbeth is attempting to win back the throne from Lady Macbeth by making some promises that he cannot keep. He claims that he is going to be different because he will be better than Macduff was.Of course, when Macbeth is crowned king he does not really turn out to be anything more than a jerk. Duncan is able to orchestrate an operation in which the death of Macbeth will draw suspicion from his guards and Macbeth himself. After that, Macbeth and Duncan go their separate ways.Another one of the most interesting Macbeth essay topics is the one in which the three Macduffs plot to kill the king. This takes place in the later part of the play. In this scenario, Duncan tries to meet with Macbeth, only to find that Macbeth has already been killed. Duncan learns that Macbeth knew of his plan to attack the king in advance and is instead involved in a scheme to kill King Duncan in order to take back the throne.Macbeth is eventually killed by Macduff's rival and cousin, Duncan. In the process, he has lost his life. Duncan's men destroy the castle where Macbeth lived in, leaving nothing behind but a stump of a tree. Then Duncan makes Macbeth promise that the castle will become the new site of the execution.Of course, one can discuss the important role played by Macbeth and Duncan in Macbeth. While their actions certainly played an important role in the play, their roles were not the ones that Macbeth was able to fulfill.
